My family recently took a trip to the Discovery Garden and Butterfly Garden in Dallas, TX. My children loved to see the colors of the butterflies, the flowers in bloom, and eh, the hissing cockroaches. Besides the roaches, the sites were beautiful! It was fun to identify the butterflies flying around the building with those on the guide and pamphlets we were handed when we entered the attraction.
It’s always exciting to watch the joy in my children’s face, knowing they just experienced something they will remember forever. I cherish these moments!
It hurts me to think there are some people who are unable to see these moments. Anything further than 4 feet away is very blurry for me, and I struggle to make things out. I wear glasses and contacts daily, if not, I would miss out on so much. I also take care of my sight by having regular eye exams. My insurance is wonderful, fully covering yearly exams, as recommended.
If it is time for your yearly check-up, you can get a FREE eye exam this weekend from Transition Lenses, in partnership with Essilor and First Eye Care. The Sightseeing City Tour stop will be in Dallas at Taste Addison this weekend, May 18-20, 2012. Attendees can come by the booth for the Ultimate Sightseeing Experience to get free vision screenings for the whole family! You will also have the opportunity to get your photo taken in front of a scenic backdrop and the chance to win prizes and giveaways!
Again, FREE vision screenings for your entire family with admission to Taste of Addison.
