Denny’s 24 Hour Toy Drive = FREE Grand Slam Breakfast!

Denny’s is teaming up with Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation’s 3D, CG-animated family comedy “Arthur Christmas,” in theaters Nov. 23, and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to help six cities throughout the country make holiday dreams come true for thousands of children.
From 5 a.m. local time on Monday, Nov. 21, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, several Denny’s diners in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, St. Louis and Miami areas will host toy drives supporting Toys for Tots. Marines will be on site at each location to collect toy donations and give thanks to donors. In the spirit of the holidays, Denny’s will give the first 500 donors at each of the local participating diners a gift that will put a smile on anyone’s face: a voucher for a free Original Grand Slam® breakfast on their next visit as a thank you for their generous contribution.

Maddiepie Creations Photography {Review and Giveaway}

I was excited when Brooke from Maddiepie Creations contacted me to offer a promotion for my readers. Within a week, we scheduled a photo session, and the results were, well….beautiful!
After being given the choice of my preferred location, we met at a local park. As I pulled into the parking lot, I honestly began to second guess the park. I kept thinking about all the possible distractions. (2, 4 and 7 year olds like slides. And swings. And sand pits.)
Brooke introduced herself to my children, and she was extremely flexible during the session. (Did I mention there were swings and sand pits?) Brooke made the park totally work….and then some! She held my daughter’s hand while walking and honored my 7 year old’s request to take pictures on the tennis court. She even kept up with my ever-so-active 2 year old to get some amazing shots!
Soon after our session, I received a link to the online album, which is password protected. (You can also share the album with your family and friends!) The pictures came out so good, and my 2 year old can watch the slide show over and over! (I can, too!)
Thanks for capturing these memories of my children, Brooke! You truly have an eye for the camera!

Christmas Layaway Program at Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart will offer a Christmas layaway program for electronics, jewelry and toys. The program is available at all stores nationwide, running from October 17 through December 16.
Each item put on layaway must be $15 or more, and the total of your items must be at least $50.
Customer must put 10% down, and there is a $5 service fee.
Layaway payments can be made at any register. Putting an item on layaway and picking up layaway orders is done near the back of the store, in the walmart.com department.
(Items can not be put on layaway the day after Thanksgiving, nor can they be picked up that day.)
*There is a $10 Cancellation fee or penalty if not picked up by December 16.
