I was asked to host a review for a mini top hat from Marie-leigh’chelle Boutique.  One visit to her Etsy shop, and you will want to take a look at all the mini top hats she has to offer!

The hats are custom made, hand sewn and very unique.  I was sent the Sugar n Spice hat, and my daughter fell in love!

A gorgeous and colorful fabric with pink sequin accents, addorned with a rinestone embellishment.

The hat is very well made, and sits comfortably on the top of your head.  It is perfect for parties, dress up and so much more!  The mini top hats are great for children and adults, too!  My daughter wore her hat to the grocery store, and received two compliments within minutes of our shopping trip!

The hat stays in place with a hidden clip, which makes it stay in place while you are walking through the park or having fun at a party!  (And yes, this hat will be the talk of the party!)

Why I think this system is great: 
 - I liked the bright orange color. 
 - The system is well organized.
 - Each binder is separate, so there is no need to take your grocery store coupons into the mall.

The only thing I wish were different:

Review: Oliver’s Labels.

Oliver’s Labels is a Canadian-based company that manufactures and sells personalized labels. Their products are made from waterproof, weatherproof, and scuff-resistant materials. Oliver’s Labels offer iron-on clothing labels, bag tags, shoe labels, and self-adhesive/sticky labels. All labels can be personalized with your child’s name and preferred design (Designs include:  Animal faces, Butterflies, Dinosaurs, Fantasy, Flowers, Nature, Outer space, School, Sports, Toy animals, and Transportation.)

I recently had the opportunity to try Oliver’s labels.  I chose to have the labels personalized with my last name, so they could go on any item, for any of my children.  I was sent a set of original labels, mini labels, Stick-eez clothing labels, and a set of shoe labels.

The labels, though they don’t feel that sticky, attach securely, and have shown no wear from several washings in the washing machine and/or dishwasher!  (*It is recommended that you do not touch the sticky side of the labels, but of course, I touched one….just to feel it!)

I was also impressed with the printing on the labels.  The colors are very bright, and that too, shows no sign of wear.  They are still as bright as they were on day one.  My children love the Sea Life design, and it is gender neutral, so again, it is a perfect fit for my family.  

When ordering labels, you have the option to take advantage of the unique Found-It Tracking System.  I opted to add this FREE numeric code to my labels.  When If I lose an item, the person who found it can go to the Oliver’s Labels website, enter the code on my label, and I will be connected to my item via e-mail.  This is a wonderful service, and did I mention it was FREE!

Review & Giveaway: Tulips and Roses from ProFlowers!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  It’s in one week to be exact.  (Ahem, guys….you have 7 days to purchase your gifts!)  While there are many different ways to express your love, giving flowers is one of the top ten items purchased for this holiday.

At first I thought ProFlowers.com only offered flowers.  After spending five minutes on their website, however, I found out I was wrong.  In addition to flowers, they offer delicious chocolates, cookies, fruits and more!

I chose to review an arrangement of 20 Sweetheart Tulips in the Damask vase.  The tulips arrived the next day, neatly packaged in a box.  There were no broken stems, and no flower was discolored.  The box contained flower food and instructions, which I followed to a “T”.  The tulips smelled wonderful!

On day 2, the tulips sprung to life, and the colors were so vibrant. 

On day 3, the tulips opened up.  I couldn’t stop looking at them, as the arrangement caught my eye with it’s beauty!  This same day I went shopping.  I was gone for about two or three hours, and upon my return, I entered my kitchen, and was stopped in my tracks.  The tulips that were so beautiful this morning had fallen over.  I was in shock (and disappointment)!

I quickly learned that ProFlowers has a 7 day freshness guarantee, and that the tulips should have looked beautiful for at least a week.  When a product tests this guarantee, ProFlowers offers two options:  a refund, with no questions asked or a product replacement.  I was asked if I would like to review a second product.

This time, I chose to review One Dozen Long Stemmed Assorted Roses.

The roses arrived in the same manner as the tulips, neatly packaged in a box, with no broken stems or discoloration.  This box included care instructions as well, and more flower food.

Today is the third day that I have been enjoying these roses on my table.  The roses smell great, and have just as much beauty as the tulips (before they fell over)!  Who doesn’t love fresh flowers on their table?  (And yes, I have been hinting to my husband that flowers make a great centerpiece.  My daughter is now saying it, too!  Ha….maybe it will become a constant thing!)

Community Coffee sent me a Traditional King Cake to try for myself, and I waited until my daughter’s Birthday party started to serve it.  It was so hard to wait!  The smell of that King Cake sitting on my counter was so tempting! 

The Birthday party finally came, and everyone agreed that this cake was moist with a great flavor!  I liked the almond flavoring of the icing.  I also liked how the baby was placed inside the cake by the bakery, so no one knew where it was!  How exciting!

The King Cake package contained a few Mardi Gras beads inside of a Mardi Gras cup and information on the history the King Cake and the carnival season.  A 12oz. bag of Cafe Special Coffee was sent, too.  (The coffee speaks for itself.  Who doesn’t love a cup of Community Coffee?)

Being over 400 miles from Louisiana, it’s not easy to find a King Cake like they make ‘back home’.  They have them here in Texas, but it is nothing like ‘the real thing’!  I would recommend ordering and/or shipping this cake to any of your family and friends….whether they live near or far!  I would order this King Cake again.  And again.  And again.  Delish!

It is amazing at just how many customizations there are for a blog!  I was asked to choose things that I never thought I’d be asked about!  I designed the site myself before, and I have to say, it took me a few weeks to get the look I was going for.  Even then, I still wondered how people did this, or how in the world do I find out how to change that?
