Teacher Appreciation Week!

What do you do for your child’s teacher to show him/her you appreciate all he/she has done throughout the year?

At my son’s school, we celebrate over the course of a week.  Many parents, like myself, send a small gift to the teacher each day.  Others may choose to send only a few gifts on random days this week, and then some may only send one or two gifts to finish the week.  Whatever you choose, you want the gift to be both memorable and affordable.

Our school has a theme for each day (school supplies on Monday, snacks on Tuesday….).  Other schools may do without a theme.

Here are a few sites I have found to be very helpful:

Check out  Skip to my Lou – cute sayings to attach to your gifts:

  • Thanks for a ‘picture’ perfect year” tag with movie coupons or nice picture frame
  • Thanks for making our school year bright” tag with a package of highlighters
  • Thanks for helping Blake grow” tag with flower seeds
  • You are o’fish’ally the best!” tag attached to Goldfish Crackers

There are so many ideas for Teacher Appreciation!  I’d love to see pictures of your gifts on facebook!  Post them to my wall!

An Idea For Teacher Appreciation Week!

This is Teacher Appreciation Week!

As a former teacher, I know that every gift a teacher receives (whether it’s Teacher Appreciation Week or not!) is appreciated!

Whether you send a card or a gift, you don’t have to spend a lot to express your “Thank You’s”.

What teacher couldn’t use a new pair of scissors?
There is a coupon on Target.com this week….it’s for $1.00 off Scotch scissors.
(These start at $1.49 at our Target.)

Purchase these, and pair them with a gift tag that says “You’re A Cut Above The Rest!”
*Piping bags (the ones for icing….in the bakery department or at a hobby store) fit a pair of scissors perfectly, though any gift bag works great, too!

You could also purchase a pack of Post It’s.  Pair these with a gift tag that says “IT’s Teacher Appreciation Week!  Thanks for all you do!”  (I did this for all the teachers last year before we moved….who couldn’t use a pack of post it’s?)
var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-17168081-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement(‘script’); ga.type = ‘text/javascript’; ga.async = true; ga.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘https://ssl’ : ‘http://www’) + ‘.google-analytics.com/ga.js’; var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })(); var vglnk_api_key = “04721d85877bba2c647f2155665d2dcc”; var vglnk_domain = ((“https:” == document.location.protocol) ? “https://” : “http://”) + “api.viglink.com”; document.write(unescape(“%3Cscript src=’” + vglnk_domain + “/api/vglnk.js?key=” + vglnk_api_key + “‘ type=’text/javascript’%3E%3C/script%3E”)); try { vglnk(vglnk_domain, vglnk_api_key); } catch(err) {}
