Exploring Disneyland With A Visit To Tomorrowland

Earlier this month, I was invited to visit Tomorrowland in the Happiest Place on Earth, though this would be a first-timer trip for me.  The opportunity included a visit to Disneyland, and I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive!

Having been to Disney World in Florida several times, I was excited to see what the park in California was like.  And I got more than I bargained for…

After we stood in awe of Sleeping Beauty’s dazzling castle, we headed to ride It’s A Small World – my favorite!  This ride isn’t just a “must do” in Disneyland, it also plays an important role in the Tomorrowland film… a magic portal, if I must say.  I put on my Tomorrowland pin, and boarded a boat to visit friends from Asia, Africa, South America, Europe, Mexico, The United States and more!

We then found our way to Tomorrowland, where we rode Buzz Lightyear, caught a sneak peek of the Tomorrowland film, experienced Star Tours and even caught up with a Storm Trooper or two!

We journeyed to California Adventure where we rode a few rides, including Radiator Springs – which might be my favorite of that park!   This ride starts out as a leisure (and calm) drive, but quickly turns into a (semi-roller coaster) race for 1st place! I may have screamed once (or 10 times), but I would do it again!  My 10 year old would love this!

We ended the day with fast passes to see World of Color – a 28 minute show exclusive to Disneyland.  You could not hear one person talking as the breath-taking magic overcomes the lake in front of thousands of guests.  Imagine nearly 1,200 fountains shooting water 200 feet into the air, creating a beautiful display and projection screen for Disney favorites. It was a great end to the amazing day, spent with 25 other amazing bloggers, some of them shown below.

Don’t forget that Disneyland is celebrating 60 years of magic, which kicks off tomorrow!  The party will start with the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, where guests can salute 60 years of Disney magic with dazzling entertainment and sparkling surprises, including 3 new nighttime spectaculars making their in-park debuts! tomorrowland-poster

Tomorrow is also the day.  The day to see Tomorrowland in theaters, of course!
