Have Some Summer Fun at The Hilton Anatole Jade Waters in Dallas #SummerAtTheAnatole

A few weeks ago, my family received an invitation to help celebrate the opening of the Hilton Anatole’s new water park, Jade Waters.  We couldn’t be more excited for our visit, and I’m pretty sure my 6 year old asked me about this particular staycation 10 times. (Maybe it was 11, but who’s counting?)

My son loves visiting the Anatole, and he has so many reasons why.  With that said, I’ve asked him to help me with my coverage.  Here’s what he had to say, trying to contain his love for the property:

“The Anatole is awesome! I love that you can go up to the 26th floor and look out the windows to see Dallas.  Like, all of Dallas.  You can even see Cowboy Stadium at night!  The Anatole has big rooms with Murphy beds that go into the wall. And you can get room service or go eat at one of the restaurants. I want to tell everyone who reads that it’s fun. I like to swim and now they have a waterpark. It’s called Jade Waters and me and my sister didn’t want to leave! I like the water slides and the lazy river, but I like the water slides the most!”

I am pretty sure he said all of that in one big run-on sentence.  I literally recorded it, and had to play it back a few times for accuracy.  But y’all, he’s right about everything – especially Jade Waters.  My children have already asked to go back.

Jade Waters is the Hilton Anatole’s resort pool that opened this July.  It’s open exclusively for hotel guests, which means you should never have huge long lines or crowded pools when you visit.

Our first stop was in the Lazy River, which had a great current flowing.  I loved the fact that the water was only about 3 feet deep, and there were “obstacles” or splash stations along the path (you can avoid these, of course.)  The scenery offers art sculptures and landscape that can only be appreciated when seen.

There are two water slides, which are perfect for adults and children alike.  One slide is enclosed and the other is open.  My children rode them both equally – and appreciated the fact that there was little to no wait to go down each one.  I, as a parent, appreciated the fact that the slides emptied into an extension of the slide itself and not into a pool of water.  This was extremely important for my 6 year old, who is just learning to swim independently.  He wouldn’t have gone down if the slides emptied into a pool with depth, just for safety issues.

And speaking of safety, there are lifeguards all around the park.  They are in the kiddie area, they are around the lazy river, they are by the slides and they are watching the leisure pool.  Even though my son wore a life jacket, it was reassuring to know I had additional eyes, too.

Things to know about Jade Waters at the Hilton Anatole Dallas:

  • Towels are available at Jade Waters.  There’s no need to bring your own.

  • Cabanas are available for rent.  Each cabana had lounge chairs, tables, a big screen tv, a mini fridge and many other benefits.  You can rent these from 9am-9pm, with service from 10am-6pm.  Some of the cabanas were near the water, while a few are set back, away from the “action”.
  • Life jackets are available for use.  Ask about them at the ticket counter/gift shop.  The gift shop sells items you may have forgot: sunscreen, goggles, flip flops, water toys, etc.
  • Food is available pool side.  Servers are all around the water park, ready to provide you with a menu.  Selections include appetizers, salads, entrees, dessert and drinks!

  • Make sure you check out the activity list for the day, before leaving your room.  We were able to participate in hula hoop and dance contests, and then watched a sneak peek of Geppetto’s Puppet Show!  We even played a few outdoor games like Connect Four and Corn Hole, then ended the day with a movie on the green.
  • Bring water shoes. We visited in the heat of summer, and the cement was extremely hot.  Trust me on this one.  You might also want to bring a book to read and relax. They have these amazing chairs that I couldn’t wait to get into!  Had I brought a book, I would have never left!
